Happy Halloween OKINAWA !!

Halloween season in Okinawa is pretty exciting. If you go to American village, you can see the wide variety of the high level costumes and make-ups. If you go to the Chatan Sunabe residential area near the Sunabe seawall you can see many of the local Okinawans going trick-or-treating to the American houses.

All this wasn`t a natural scene 15 years ago. The Halloween movement was not quite common as it is now. It all became a thing starting with a few Americans dressed up in there costumes in American Village which caught the eye of the Okinawan people and then became into a bigger event every year. 

Now, this whole Halloween movement has grown not only in Okinawa but also throughout Japan, especially in Shibuya.

I think its interesting to see the American culture getting mixed with the Japanese culture. 

Next month is November which means THANKS GIVING.

I hope everybody gets a nice home-warming dinner on that special day.
